Summary of The West Wing
The West Wing provides a glimpse into the inner workings of the Oval Office as seen through the eyes of an eclectic group of staffers led by President Josiah Bartlett (Martin Sheen). Pacing the West Wing morning, noon and night, Bartlet's loyal group strive to keep press and the public informed at every call. The street smart Leo McGarry (John Spencer) is the President's chief of staff and his closest ally and confidant. The cool and competant Press secretary CJ Cregg (Allison Janney) spends her time deflecting awkward press questions alongside her cynical and sleepless Communications Director Toby Zeigler (Richard Schiff). They are assisted by the charismatic political animal Sam Seaborn (Rob Lowe), the fastest wordsmith in the West Wing.
