Summary of Las Vegas
"Las Vegas" is a fictional-autobiographical film starring me and the entertainer Liberace as a New World explorer. Las Vegas is a weird Utopia, with fantasy buildings that exist outside of time and space, transnational, and with the veneer of lawlessness. Like all American Utopias, Las Vegas was created by travelers seeking something better. Like all Utopias, Las Vegas is inextricable from a constant destruction and re-imagining of the past. Like all Utopias, its promises are often an illusion but its failures all too real. |
